These are not skinny or even slim jeans thank goodness, but the legs are bigger than “straight leg” jeans. They are more like the old straight “stovepipe” leg jeans circa 70’s-80’s. Not a good look for me now. Might look cute on a young person who hasn’t yet turned into a potato. I was initially excited that the waist is super high, I they are even higher than the old “mom jeans”. But the way my body has aged and re-shaped, it felt too constricting. I did size up one size to allow for shrinkage, since they are 95% cotton thick denim (YAY! at least there’s that!), but the waist and pelvis were still a bit snug-ish. Probably would be more comfy once they are washed a few times to soften up the denim, but I just couldn’t live with the stovepipe big leg look. Back they went. I’ll hold out for possibility that they bring back the TRUE old original type ancient 501’s without all the weird tweaks to them.

Usually the higher the better for me. However these are just tooooo long for me.

I love these jeans. I’ve been looking for button-fly jeans for awhile. These are not stretchy as all, but like the jeans I wore decades ago. Broken in just the right amount. Full size pockets, solid denim, and just what I wanted.

As someone with a long waist the “rib cage” style is perfect. I can wear a cropped tee without baring my torso: the short tee hits just below the waistband which I nicer than the tee hitting well above the waistband and showing too much of my torso. The “below the waistband” cut, in turn, makes my legs look a LOT longer. You can’t beat that: longer legs!
